子曰：“父母在，不远游，游必有方。” 孔子说：“父母在世，不出远门，如果要出远门，必须有一定的去处”。

Translation:

The master said, “While your parents are alive, you should not travel too far afield. If you do travel, your whereabouts should always be known.” － from The Analects of Confucius

Background:

Lun Yu, or Analects of Confucius, record the words and deeds of Confucius as well as his disciples. The book was compiled by the disciples of Confucius and their disciples after their Master’s death. It covers a wide scope of subjects, ranging from politics, philosophy, literature, and art to education and moral cultivation.
